How to prepare carrot juice

Wash the carrot, clean it only on the surface, without peeling it, wash it again, then grate the carrot, and squeeze it through a thin gauze. Pour a quarter of any fruit juice or add one circle of lemon. Carotene is better if the juice is drunk with a piece of bread smeared with butter (remember that the carrot needs fat!). Be careful not to keep the juice outdoors for longer than half an hour after preparation, or when the bottle is opened (where you stored your carrot juice) then the useful properties are lost. Juice can be preserved to stand for a long time.

For this, it is necessary to drain the juice under the press and leave it standing. Then squeeze the juice and the sludge through a double gauze. Juice must be heated to 80 ° C and immediately poured into a bottle or in a jar, not filling the container to the top of about 1.5 3 cm. Close the bottle and sterilize for 30 minutes at 108 ° C. To get this temperature, add 400 g of salt per 1 liter of water.

Useful properties of carrot juice

Carrot juice is recommended for the occurrence of anemia, loss of appetite, in renal diseases, liver disease, respiratory organs, eye disorders, avitaminosis in relation to vitamins C and A, exhaustion and hypertension, infarction, especially in the first days of illness, kidney stone and gallbladder.
